ASIMINA PROEDROU FILM PRODUCTIONS is an Athens-based production company founded by writer, director and producer Asimina Proedrou.
The company develops and produces projects with a strong focus on character-driven storytelling and contemporary social issues, often explored from female perspectives. Committed to auteur-driven cinema with international co-production potential, it collaborates with established producers and industry partners across Europe.
The company builds on the international experience and creative vision of its founder, writer-director Asimina Proedrou, whose multi-award-winning debut feature, BEHIND THE HAYSTACKS (2022), enjoyed both domestic and international success, was Greece's official submission for the 96th Academy Awards, and was shortlisted for the European Film Awards.
Among the company's completed works is Asimina Proedrou's internationally acclaimed short film RED HULK (2013), which was selected for over sixty international film festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, and won seven international awards.
The company's current slate includes HYSTÉRA, Asimina Proedrou's second feature film, selected for the International Financing Forum at the Toronto IFF, When East Meets West (Trieste IFF) and Cinelink Sarajevo, where it received the Montenegro Cinelink Award and was subsequently nominated for the CoProCity Development Award. It also includes BENEATH THE SURFACE, her first television series, selected for Series Mania Writers Campus, Cinelink Drama, and Sofia Meetings, currently under development in collaboration with Tanweer Productions (Greece).
